01. The Awakening

I was the top-performing sales rep in my state — consistently, year after year. I was good at it. But I was also finishing my undergrad and had a clear plan: dental school. The path was mapped out. Graduate, get in, put in the years.

Then two things happened at the same time. My manager — someone I respected — started talking to me about money. Not just saving it. Understanding it. How it actually works. What it does over time. What it costs you when you don't understand it.

And in my final set of classes, I took a financial education course. It wasn't glamorous. But it changed the trajectory of my entire life.

I started seeing the numbers differently. I discovered Austrian economics. Then Bitcoin. And once you understand what money actually is — where it comes from, who controls it, what inflation does to stored labor — you can't unsee it.

02. The Path Not Taken

Dental school would have cost me 20+ years of debt repayment. I ran the actual math — not the optimistic version. At that interest rate, for a business that requires my physical presence every single day, it was the opposite of the life I was building toward.

Sovereignty isn't built by going deeper into debt for a credential that chains you to a chair. I chose a different path.

I went into recruiting — physician staffing, specifically. I built the largest active book on my team within four years, competing against colleagues with 18 to 20 years of tenure. I learned how markets work, how compensation structures are built, and how most people — even highly educated ones — make financial decisions without the information they need.

That asymmetry bothered me. It still does.

03. The Freedom Loop

In August 2025 I loaded up my Ford Raptor with Starlink and solar and drove solo for six weeks. 6,500 miles. Thirteen national parks.

Glacier. North Cascades. Olympic. Mount Rainier. Crater Lake. The Oregon Coast. Lassen. Redwood. Kings Canyon. Sequoia. Yosemite. Joshua Tree. Death Valley. Great Basin.

I had no fixed schedule, no one waiting on me, nowhere I had to be. I was working remotely the whole time — proof of concept that the life I'm building actually works.

04. The Mission

Most of the financial education that actually matters — the stuff about sound money, tax structures, income architecture, how to buy your time back — isn't taught anywhere. Not in school. Not at work. Not even by most financial advisors.

I built Sovereign Life Co to change that. To teach financial education from the ground up, the way I wish someone had taught it to me. Starting with first principles. Starting with what money actually is.

Then I built Unchained MD — the same education, filtered for physicians. Because doctors carry more debt, have more complicated tax situations, and have more leverage available to them than almost any other profession — and most of them are using almost none of it.

And Sovereign Signal is where I write publicly — every two weeks — about what I'm learning, building, and thinking. No fluff. No theory-only content. Real numbers, real decisions, real stakes.

I work in physician staffing. I disclose that here because transparency is the product. Everything I build is designed to give you more information, not less.
